Job Description

Visa Direct facilitates domestic and cross-border money movement, enabling clients to collect, convert, hold and send funds to more than 11 billion cards, bank accounts and digital wallets across over 195 countries and territories. Visa Direct enables person-to-person (P2P) payments, account-to-account (A2A) transfers, funds disbursements (business and government payouts to individuals or small businesses), among other use cases.

The Director will be a member of the Visa Direct Global Strategy & Operations team. The team plays a key role in shaping the multi-year strategy, leading strategic initiatives, and providing business insights for Visa Direct. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading strategic, cross-functional projects across a range of business topics, e.g., exploring underserved client segments or new business models
  • Developing insights on key market trends and client needs to inform strategic priorities and investment areas
  • Translating strategies into tangible action plans and supporting functional owners with execution
  • Articulating our business strategy and progress to both internal and external audiences
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with global and regional Visa Direct teams to ensure alignment of objectives and efforts
  • Supporting ongoing business operations (e.g., objective setting, business reviews) as needed.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
•10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8
years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/
MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
•12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of
experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years
of work experience with a PhD
•Prior experience in management consulting or internal strategy teams
preferred
•Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
•Ability to independently lead and manage projects with multiple workstreams
•Personal presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to
senior level executives
•Eagerness to work in cross-functional, global teams with personnel of all levels
to accomplish project objectives
•Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
•Strong leadership, interpersonal and collaboration skills
•Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $160,600 to $232,900 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
