Job Description
As Director, Product Marketing – Visa Intelligent Commerce (VIC), you will own the marketing vision and positioning, influence go‑to‑market, and develop sales tools for one of Visa’s most high‑profile innovation portfolios. You will help shape executive decision‑making, manage budgets, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business results. This senior leadership role is ideal for a strategic marketing leader with deep expertise in AI, payments, and platform products who can translate complex ideas into compelling narratives for diverse audiences.

You will be part of the Product Marketing team for Growth Products, a group focused on bringing Visa’s most innovative solutions to market. The team pilots and scales offerings across AI Commerce, Digital Payments, and Data & Platform capabilities. As a senior member of this team, you will develop strategies that launch these innovations in differentiated and impactful ways, ensuring strong market adoption and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the comprehensive product marketing strategy for Visa Intelligent Commerce, collaborating with executives to align initiatives with overall business goals.
- Market Research and Positioning: Lead market and data analysis to inform strategy, and define the differentiated product positioning, value propositions, and messaging that resonate with target audiences.
- Market Strategy & Planning: Plan and orchestrate go-to-market strategies for new product launches and campaigns, coordinating cross-functional teams to drive successful market entry and adoption.
- Content and Sales Enablement: Oversee the creation of high-impact content and provide sales teams with the strategic tools, collateral, and competitive analysis needed to support the sales process.
- Thought Leadership: Partner with the Communications team to develop thought leadership and stay ahead of industry trends in Artificial Intelligence and Agentic Commerce to expand Visa's market position.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
• 10 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
• 12 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
• Bachelor’s degree required/MBA preferred
• 8+ years of progressively responsible business experience, mostly in product marketing or similar capacity, including bringing new products to market.
• Experience working in AI, Payments, and platform products and engaging technical audiences with new category innovations
• Strong strategic thinker with a results orientation who approaches any challenge with thoughtfulness, drive, and appropriate urgency
• Audience-centric mindset, and an ability to simplify sophisticated concepts into impactful messaging for a diverse set of audiences
• Strong executive presence with highly effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present with impact
• Strong planning, organizational, problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and prioritize effectively

Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 169,100.00 to 220,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
