Job Description

As a member of Global Sales & Commercial Operations (GSCO), you will lead key operational and strategic efforts driving Visa’s transformation into a best-in-class B2B sales organization (Sales 2.0). This role reports to the GSCO Chief of Staff and balances a combination of operational, strategic, and day-to-day responsibilities.

You will act as a thought partner to the GSCO Leadership Team, lead select initiatives and processes, and connect the dots across Sales 2.0 workstreams to align key stakeholders and teams. This highly cross-functional role interfaces with Sales Excellence, Communications, Data Science, People, Technology, Regions, and Product.

We are seeking a sales operations/excellence leader who can navigate a matrixed organization and thrives on process optimization, ensuring a best-in-class experience for our sellers. Specific focus areas include:

Acceptance Measurement:

  • Serve as the global owner for measuring Visa’s Acceptance footprint for both internal scorecards and external reporting.

  • Lead metric delivery, including target setting, data validation, triaging anomalies, and global reporting.

  • Drive continuous improvement of acceptance-related processes and data quality.

Strategic Initiatives:

  • Execute strategic initiatives focused on improving the lives of Visa’s sellers and their day-to-day experience, such as Quote to Contracting processes, seller tools, and Value in Kind (VIK) drawdown.

  • Provide targeted support on the highest-priority projects — jumping in, providing structure and support, collaborating on solutions, building momentum, finding the right home, and moving on to the next critical initiative.

  • Support SVP and leadership with analyses, presentation development, and project deliverables for key initiatives as they arise.

Operations:

  • Orchestrate GSCO / Sales Excellence team meetings, including agenda setting, material preparation, and follow-ups.

  • Facilitate regular updates, including weekly/bi-weekly reports for GSCO, regional/functional partners, and executive leadership.

  • Contribute to other ad hoc deliverables, including OKR development, Annual Market Kickoff (AMK) presentations, and Board materials.

  • Act as a thought leader and champion for Visa 2030, ensuring GSCO’s priorities align to the Corporate Strategy.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • Strategic and analytical thinker, able to move seamlessly from high-level concepts to detailed solutions.
  • Demonstrated aptitude to learn quickly and thrive in fast-paced, unstructured, and evolving global matrix organizations.
  • Experience leading and executing large-scale transformational programs or major cross-functional projects in sales, sales operations, enablement, or performance management, preferably in the payments industry.
  • Strong sales and client-facing acumen, with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire teammates and senior stakeholders across regions and functions.
  • General payments industry experience and knowledge of Visa and its products..
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written, oral, and executive presentation skills, including visual storytelling and the ability to craft compelling recommendations.
  • Process- and solutions-oriented project manager with strong attention to detail and demonstrated experience executing deliverables on schedule.
  • Strong analytical toolkit, with the ability to leverage quantitative and qualitative methods to inform decision-making.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 161,500.00 to 234,200.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
