Job Description

What A Consulting Director – AI Practice, Asia Pacific does at VISA:

As a Director in our AI Consulting Practice, you will play a pivotal role in developing and expanding our AI consulting services across the Asia Pacific region. You will contribute not only to AI consulting delivery, but also to developing thought leadership by creating consulting practice materials, such as set-plays, pitch decks, and whitepapers. Collaborating closely with Visa’s Intelligence & Data Science teams and leveraging Visa's products and solutions in the AI space, you will build solutions that drive client growth and success. Additionally, you will develop industry landscape evaluations and best practices to inform strategic decisions. This role requires a deep understanding of AI technologies, trends, and best practices, and the ability to translate these into actionable consulting strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

Every day is different but a sample of the things you can expect to accomplish include 1) Project Leadership, 2) Business Development and 3) Thought Leadership to lead the delivery of AI advisory engagements across Asia Pacific.

  • Business Development: Prepare client proposals and project plans, identifying dependencies, roles and responsibilities, scope and deliverables
  • Projects, typically 3-6 months in duration, may include strategizing how to incorporate Agentic AI better into clients' businesses to drive growth, and building the Agentic AI use cases with the clients. In doing so, a deep understanding of clients' businesses, particularly in the payment sector, will be critical.
  • Business development and project delivery support for the local market will also be required.
  • Thought Leadership, Practice and Solution Development: As one of Visa’s regional specialist practices, AI Practice also develops set plays from popular solutions/engagements and other assets that Visa’s market teams can use to scale reach and impact

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

  • Experience: Minimum 12 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g., Masters/MBA) in consulting and/or tech, with a significant focus on AI technologies, trends, and best practices
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically
  • Solid grasp of Agentic AI principles and architecture, with the ability to engage credibly with AI engineers and technical stakeholders to bridge business needs and technical capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply emerging Agentic AI trends to strategic initiatives across industries such as consumer financial services, commerce, and B2B transactions
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of profitability drivers of financial institutions
  • Ability to translate strategy into an internal and external narrative and to connect the dots between product development, strategy development, operating plans and execution, data driven insights, business acumen and finance
  • Excellent communication skills plus the maturity and capability to interact and influence across multiple levels and organizations internal and external to Visa
  • Strong executive presence as well as discipline
