Job Description
We are looking for an experienced payments professional to join the UK Fintech and Strategic Partners team, to manage Visa's relationship with a UK headquartered fintech partner. In this role as Director, Senior Account Executive, you will be focused on building a deep partnership with the client, executing on a plan to continue the ongoing transformation and growth of our relationship.

What we expect of you, day to day:
- Own every aspect of Visa’s strategic relationship with the client, leading on all day-to-day interactions, engaging across multiple levels and geographies within Visa and the Client.
- Ensure the retention and growth of Visa’s existing business and proactively lead and execute on a multi-year plan to accelerate growth of the broader partnership, ensuring Visa retains preferred partner status.
- Work alongside the client, liaising with multiple stakeholders with the aim of growing the business through collaboration, building high quality relationships.
- Meet and exceed scorecard targets for the client relationship, delivering net revenue across core, value added services and commercial & money-movement solutions.
- Lead a team of cross-functional colleagues ensuring key stakeholders across product, value added services, marketing, client services and consulting are appropriately involved and supporting client development.
- Partner closely with the Visa Direct organisation to extend our existing partnership in the money movement space.
- Develop and own strategic account plans, coordinating senior stakeholder engagement and managing business under contract.
- Identify client opportunities for new products/services enabling business improvement and growth in line with the client’s business objectives and priorities.
- Identify opportunities and engage with Visa subject matter experts to provide the client with thought leadership on payment industry trends and innovation.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of all Visa products and services, to identify opportunities aligned to client’s requirements.
- Manage business under contract, investing in initiatives that have mutual benefit to the client’s and Visa’s business priorities (e.g. adoption of new Visa capabilities, penetration of value-added services).
This is a hybrid position. The expectation of days in the office will be for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays on a weekly basis.
Qualifications
- An experienced, results-oriented account executive with more than 10 years’ experience in financial services or an enterprise sales role. Experience managing global relationships would be beneficial.
- Has a proven track record of managing complex clients, developing and delivering on strategic plans to grow a business.
- Extensive sales experience, with proven influencing, selling and negotiation skills.
- Curiosity and pragmatism, with the aptitude to identify new opportunities and proactively propose solutions, being able to handle objections and navigate successful outcomes.
- Strong commercial acumen with understanding and experience of credit cards portfolio management, credibility in the payments market, and experience of driving P&L growth.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders up to Executive Level, especially in a matrixed environment.
- Strong commercial awareness/understanding, with the ability to identify opportunities and propose solutions.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple work-streams simultaneously, meeting set deadlines.
- Be a self-starter, with the ability to network, think and act independently, with a collaborative mindset.
