Job Description

Visa’s Employee Enablement Solutions organization is looking for a Communications Specialist who will support the multiple colleague facing communications from EES that are required to concisely convey what users need to know and/or do.  There are a variety of messages that span urgency levels as well as recipients.  Many are global and in response to outages.  Others are planned service announcements that use a variety of tones.  This is a dynamic position that requires empathy, clarity, and the ability to translate technical content to business impact.  This role considers the audience and has the ability to create impactful messaging for them.  What they need to know vs. what we want to tell them. 

 The ability to create high quality communications that mirror the situation is critical.  Some messages are urgent and brief. Others are more inspired and speak to capabilities and new services.   

 The successful candidate is a champion of precision, continual improvement, and quality who can produce high quality communications that optimize the experience for our colleagues.  

 Our environment is dynamic and requires a communications professional who is flexible, self-motivated, and can collaborate across cross-functional groups and locations.  Must be a self-starter, motivated, accountable, enjoy the written language, can handle some pressure situations and driven by continuous improvement.   

Essential Functions:

  • Manage communications operations including design, development, and delivery of change-related communications for tools and applications.  Communications are sent daily, weekly, and on planned schedules. 
  • Create and leverage new channels 
  • Create a style guide of all communications and templates 
  • Continually improve the way we communicate, including new templates and creative visuals 
  • Drive communications-related process improvement initiatives 
  • Continuously monitor communications process metrics to ensure targets are met 
  • Capture and track suggested communications improvements and drive related next actions 
  • Collaborate with global virtual teams, senior leaders, and technical subject matter experts 
  • Represent the Employee Enablement Solutions Team as a vocal customer/user advocate 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

The standard working hours for this role currently are from 5:00 pm to 2:00 am, local Manila time. When the work necessitates it, you may be required to work outside of the prescribed work hours.  Visa reserves the right to adjust the  standard working hours in future based on the business requirements

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD University Recruiting: MBA/ PhD without experience
