Job Description

The Associate Payroll Analyst role is responsible for auditing timecards, monitoring timecard reports for discrepancies and completing the timecard sign-off processes in the timekeeping system.  The Timekeeper role will perform reporting and analytical tasks on a regular basis to ensure compliance with  proactive collaboration with customer and key internal business partners within the Global Payroll organization. This role is responsible for processing payroll to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure appropriate setups are in place to allow for accurate timekeeping
  • Develop reports to track, analyze, and support timecard completion and accuracy of data entered in the timekeeping system
  • Provide timekeeping system training to employees and managers
  • Process historical timecard adjustments
  • Create and provide timekeeping reports to management
  • Answer timekeeping inquiries raised by team members and managers in query management tool
  • Maintain high level of accuracy and adhere to audit and SOX guidelines
  • Assist with internal and external payroll audits
  • Strong customer-focus, result oriented, attention to details
  • Assist payroll team members as needed

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources or relevant field or equivalent experience of 3 or more years of US timekeeping or payroll experience for a large multi-state employer
• Has adequate knowledge in US timekeeping regulations
• Able to maintain good working relationship with payroll vendor and stakeholders
• Has experienced handling different timekeeping system
• Good in verbal and written communication skills with customer service and interpersonal skills
• Advanced Excel level, proficient with all other Office applications
• Meticulous with strong analytical, organization and planning skills, extreme attention to detail and a self-directed individual
• Ability to prioritize, organize and manage many detailed tasks.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast paced, hands-on, growth-oriented work environment with tight timeline.
• Strong customer-focus, results orientation.
• Ability to work independently, with positive attitude, flexible, and a willingness to learn new things
• Must be open to work on night shift


Preferred Qualification
• Knowledgeable on ADP Globalview, eTime Timekeeping system and Workday
• Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) or American Payroll Association (APA) certification
