Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is the consulting arm of Visa, and drives tangible, impactful results for clients. Drawing on our expertise in consulting, data analytics, technology, payments and economics, VCA solves the most strategic problems for our clients. VCA's core client segments include issuers, acquirers, merchants, fintech's, payment enablers and governments.
Within VCA exists VCA Implementation Services (VIS), a hands-on execution partner, implementing, operating, and optimizing Visa products in client environments to accelerate activation, portfolio growth, risk control, and data-driven performance.
Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) drives tangible, impactful and financial results for Visa’s network clients, including financial institutions, merchants and other players. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, brand management, marketing and operational capabilities, Visa Consulting and Analytics solves the most strategic problems for our clients.
The VIS team is looking for an Associate to join our Implementation Services practice and play a role developing high impact projects for Visa’s clients in Mexico. The potential candidate will be responsible for delivering and implementing projects across our customer base, as well as support business development activities. This person will develop execution initiatives to promote sustainable and profitable growth, thereby ensuring that Visa is both, the preferred brand and unique business partner.
Potential engagements could include product development, program launch, customer acquisition, customer merchant life cycle optimization, retention enhancement, benchmark analysis, profitability enhancement and others.

Essential functions include
- Proactively engage with Visa’s and VCA’s internal teams in planning & project execution discussions, cultivate and support the management of a pipeline of work with our partners.
- Support the development of consulting and implementation initiatives working closely with managers and directors in identifying potential opportunities with issuers, merchants and other key players.
- Develop frameworks, approaches, project management, solutions and recommendations that effectively and efficiently address client opportunities and challenges
- Hep build solutions, analyses and actionable insights that will help clients achieve their business objectives
- Partner with peers in other functional areas (e.g. merchants' sales and solutions, marketing, sales, risk, innovation) and across global regional teams to execute projects in ways that leverage the breadth and depth of Visa resources
- Ability to effectively manipulate and analyze large data sets (industry and Visa) to determine meanings insights and recommendations for clients
- Document best practices and sanitize deliverables to support the development of VCAs intellectual capital
- Incumbents applying for the role should be self-motivated, highly energized. detail-oriented individuals who will deliver strategic thought leadership, problem diagnostics and high impact solutions to clients support the growth and performance. Candidates must be able to develop enduring, strategic relationships with internal and external clients and across the Visa organization. This is an individual contributor role, will be located in Mexico City
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Undergraduate Degree in Economics, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, Actuary is a plus
- No prior experience is necessary, however 1-2 years of work experience (full time or part time is a plus)

- Capacity to structure complex problems, understanding the different alternatives for their solution. Comfort with ambiguous situations and information
- Strategic and analytical thinking with a strong attention to detail that leverages multiple sources of information

- Strong leadership skills to develop and guide conversations with internal and external stakeholders
