Job Description

This Account Executive role is responsible for driving sales, retaining payment volume, and revenue across a segment of issuing financial institutions in the Netherlands. By building strong partnerships with our clients, providing access, and offering innovative solutions, we are at the forefront of protecting and growing Visa’s brand and market share.

For this strategic role, our ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the dynamic payments market, a strong commercial acumen, and a curiosity-driven mindset, along with a willingness to engage in hands-on delivery.

 

What we expect, day to day:

  • Develop a comprehensive strategy to drive and grow the business of assigned issuing accounts, ensuring mutual success.
  • Create clear propositions for the full range of Visa products and services. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and business impact, recommending services and solutions to foster growth together.
  • Build and maintain relationships across the entire client organization, including senior management and service providers. Identify key stakeholders and stay engaged to recognize opportunities and challenges early on.
  • Contribute to the annual business and account plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Visa (Sales, Products, Finance, Legal, Consultants, etc.) to deliver solutions as a unified team and proactively develop client business.
  • Negotiate, implement, and manage customer contract processes.
  • Demonstrate and continuously improve knowledge of the payment technology space, particularly Visa products and services.
  • Drive business engagement with clients, collaborate with peers and colleagues, and celebrate successes with enthusiasm and a sense of fun!

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

What we're after..

• 3-5 years of relevant work experience in payments, banking or fintech with a Bachelor’s Degree or higher
• Previous Sales / Business Development / Relationship Management experience, with a proven track record of forming and rapidly growing client partnerships.
• Strong understanding of payment networks, processes, and ecosystem participants. Knowledge of the Dutch payment market, regulation and market landscape is a distinct advantage.
• Ability to understand client priorities and needs, quickly identify opportunities and propose solutions from all areas of the Visa offering.
• Numerate with a good commercial acumen, the ability to identify opportunities and propose solutions through business case development.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise with and influence stakeholders at all levels of seniority. Take complexity and simplify it for understanding of all.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both verbal and written.
