VICE x Team
The insights team at VICE is responsible for creating thought leadership and strategic thinking that fuels the growth of VICE Media Group and its partners. We are experts in primary research methodologies – both qualitative and quantitative - but also surface insights from across VICE’s ecosystem such as content analytics, campaign performance, our DMP and some third party data sources. The team is as much analytical as it is creative. We thrive on curiosity, ambition and collaboration – within the team and across departments.
Role x You
You are an experienced, strategic researcher who is passionate about insights. You are well versed in a variety of methodologies but also want to break with convention and create new ways to gather, analyze and tell stories with data and information.
In the short term you will lead global research initiatives for VICE and its partner brands. You will be the main point of contact with internal and external clients, leading the research from methodological design to crafting the research instruments to turning the results into actionable insights. You will also collaborate, in a leadership capacity, with global team members on region specific projects.
After 6 months in this role you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day work and long-term career growth of a small team of researchers.
And after a year you’ll be integral to growing the insights department by developing strong relationships with new and existing clients as well as creating new IP (products or services) for VMG. You will also assist with long term planning for the insights team, working with editorial, commercial, marketing and product teams to construct a research calendar based on their strategic needs.
You have these:
- 12+ years experience in consumer research and constantly curious about the world around you
- Strong leaderships skills, inspiring and mentoring those around you
- Proficiency with a range of methodologies, data sets and analysis tools
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

- Brand and creative strategy experience
- Previous experience at a media company
