UNE JOURNÉE À VESTAS

Dans ce poste, vous utiliserez vos compétences et votre expérience pour effectuer des services planifiés, des analyses/évaluations de défauts et des travaux potentiels sur des composantes de grandes tailles ou des pales d'éoliennes. Au cours d'une journée typique, vous travaillerez en hauteur et dans des espaces restreints, tout en étant exposé aux intempéries. Dans ce nouveau parc éolien, situé près de Rivière-du-Loup, au Québec, vous travaillerez généralement sur un horaire de cinq jours par semaine, de 8 à 10 heures par jour, vous aurez également un horaire de rotation sur appel pour les heures hors travail (fins de semaine). L'équipe travaillera en équipes de 2 à 3 techniciens, montera généralement 1 à 2 turbines par jour et voyagera au moins 25 % par an. Il s'agit d'un nouveau site et, pendant les 12 premiers mois environ, vous devrez vous rendre sur d'autres sites de Vestas pour suivre une formation en cours d'emploi, dont les coûts seront pris en charge par Vestas.

A DAY IN THE LIFE AT VESTAS

In this position, you will use your skills and experience to perform planned service, fault analysis/assessment and potential for work on large components or wind turbine blades. On a typical day, you will work at heights and in confined spaces, while being exposed to the elements of weather. At this new wind farm, near Rivière-du-Loup, QC, you will generally work shifts 5 days a week, 8-10 hours a day, you also have an on-call rotation schedule for off-work hours (weekends). The crew will work in shifts of 2-3 technicians and will typically climb 1-2 turbines per day and travel at least 25% per year. This is a new site and during the initial 12 months or so you will be required to travel to other Vestas sites for on-the-job training, costs will be covered by Vestas.

• You will need a safety-focused mindset and can identify solutions to issues utilizing a process of elimination.

• Your positive attitude will contribute to your ability to work in a team environment, while being motivated and taking initiative in daily tasks.

• You will have computer skills including email, Excel, Microsoft systems, as well as Teams, and data entry into our systems.

• You must have a high school diploma or equivalent as well as at least one year of wind experience or 2-3 years of transferable mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical work experience.
