Service Finance Manager

The Service Finance Manager is focused on cultivating a culture of integrity and quality as applied to leading a team responsible for reporting Service's financials. Finance Managers must retain talent, keeping contact with their team members. Finance managers set objectives, prioritize tasks, delegate and coach, encouraging collaboration with business stakeholders. Finance Managers must ensure that company financial guidelines are being adhered to and appropriately documented for Service management, Finance management, SOX and external audit review. The position provides value by leading teams which inform management of results and work with business partners to promote financial integrity in process and results.

Responsibilities

Act as a leader

o Support, lead, and develop people, while also holding staff accountable for commitments

o Remain visible, accessible, and accountable to staff, promoting well-being, engagement, inclusion, and diversity.

o Encourage continuous learning by providing coaching and feedback

o Understand the needs of the employees and of management, and aim to make informed decisions to best-fit the solution.

• Promote communication and collaboration

o Set a clear team direction, linked to service finance's business strategy

o Communicate with clarity of intent, help employees see priority and plan accordingly

o Work to build bridges between teams to enhance productivity and break down silos

o Keep leadership informed of risks and opportunities on a balanced basis, use discretion to manage matters while escalating as appropriate.

• Emphasize quality and integrity

o Develop processes and deliverables that do not require rework and can be accomplished within the committed resources / period of time. Seek continuous improvement.

o Recognize errors, highlight and resolve, build a culture of ownership and reflection of mistakes

o Do the right thing, ensure Vestas's financial integrity is priority for the teams decisions.

• Perform duties required to support team scope

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with a major in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or a related subject. Masters, CPA, or MBA would be a plus.

• Minimum 5 years of financial experience required

• Proficient systems skills including MS Office Suite, SAP and BI.

• High-level ability to communicate effectively in writing and speech

• Ability to work as part of a team, ability to lead a team

• Capacity to be versatile in different situations

• Ability to work with minimal supervision

• Attention to details and build smart well-organized spreadsheets

Competencies

• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with others

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)

Proficiency in SAP, proficiency in Workday or Adaptive

• Ability to manage competing priorities, ambiguity and meet deadlines

• Ability to communicate in English

• Regular and reliable attendance, in Portland HQ office 3x a week
