Senior Operations Manager

As a Senior Operations Manager at Vestas, you will be instrumental in implementing safety and operational strategy while overseeing the P&L for all sites within your region.   • Support wind farm Service Managers in maintaining conditions that enhance team performance and productivity.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and set a strategy for customers and operations in the area
  • Create Long Term Strategy and maintain regional P&L balance, KPIs, turnover and budget for the region in collaboration with the Regional Director and Business Vice President
  • Safeguard effective deployment of resources, processes and procedures and make investment proposals to improve the Onshore Service organization and actively support business activities to increase operational and financial efficiency
  • Ensure that health and safety at work and environmental policies are implemented, maintained, and updated as per local requirements
  • Stay updated on the wind/sustainable energy market and development within your region

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required, along with relevant and applicable work experience in operations or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of leadership experience (including 5+ years managing safety programs) and effective execution of multi-year financial planning (3-5 years)
  • Experience in wind energy is strongly preferred; however, candidates with backgrounds in oil & gas, manufacturing, or large global organizations will also be considered
  • Proven experience with leadership and people management
  • Good business skills and a customer-focused, solution- and improvement-oriented mindset
  • Financial insight and experience with full P&L responsibility, which includes knowledge of key figures and KPIs
  • Valid driver's license, passport and ability to travel as needed to meet business milestones
  • Will be required to safely climb a wind turbine
  • Fluency in English, both verbally and in writing.
