US Regional Leader, Corporate Actions

Vanguard is seeking a US Regional Leader, Corporate Actions to lead the strategic direction, operational execution, and risk management of corporate actions processing across the U.S. region. This leadership role ensures timely, accurate, and compliant handling of all corporate action events while driving continuous improvement, automation, and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Hire, evaluate, and supervise crew. Provide guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Set performance standards, review performance, and make informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement the team's operational framework. Lead collaboration between leaders to ensure regional and global consistency of process implementation related to data management, collateral management, corporate actions, reconciliation, etc. Consult and advise key stakeholders, act as subject matter and technical expert, identify and resolve complex operational issues. Lead internal control framework improvements and formulate strategic recommendations.
- Proactively identify and mitigate external events and regulatory changes that impact the team. Oversee various control standards to ensure compliance globally.
- Lead improvements of financial and performance management for the team, forecast reports, and serve as the global subject matter expert. Proactively anticipate portfolio events and lead process enhancement initiatives. Perform root cause analysis and apply findings to global process improvement efforts.
- Serve as subject matter expert for global teams and collaborate with internal and external partners to support global operations. Leverage strong industry knowledge to support relationship management.
- Lead improvement initiatives to anticipate business needs and portfolio events. Develop tools to streamline and improve service delivery.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years related work experience, with at least two years of financial services or operations experience. Supervisory experience preferred.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Accounting or Finance degree preferred. Graduate degree preferred.
- CFA or other financial designation preferred.
- Corporate Actions and Middle Office Operations experience strongly preferred.
- Technical skills and experience in middle and back-office operations are highly valued.
- Hybrid work model; Candidates located within a commutable distance to either our Scottsdale, AZ office or our Malvern, PA campus encouraged to apply.
