The Senior Manager, Windows Endpoint Engineering, will oversee a team of Endpoint Engineers responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining the Windows devices and operating system in the company. The role oversees the design, implementation, and optimization of the Windows endpoint infrastructure, ensuring that it meets the business needs and security standards. The role also functions as the product owner for the various endpoint technologies such as Windows 11, MS Intune, and enterprise wide applications to deliver high-quality, reliable, and scalable technology solutions on Vanguard's desktops and laptops.

This hybrid position (in office Tues-Wed-Thurs) is based in Wayne, PA

In this role you will:
  • Lead and Manage the Windows endpoint engineering team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance evaluation.
  • Define and execute the Windows endpoint engineering strategy, roadmap, and budget.
  • Ensure the availability, reliability, and security of the Windows devices and operating system in the company.
  • Develop and enforce the Windows endpoint policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot the Windows endpoint issues and incidents, and provide technical support and guidance.
  • Research and evaluate new Windows technologies and solutions, and recommend improvements and innovations.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and collaboration with other IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Manages the planning and implementation of enterprise-wide platform projects, including schedule, resources and communication of project status. Anticipates current and future needs of the organization and makes recommendations regarding project scope, schedule and budget. Manages the resolution of the most complex availability and incident management issues elevated from staff and clients.
  • Manages technical support staff who implement, monitor, troubleshoot, and install platforms across all systems, ensuring defined business service levels are met. Plans, develops, and executes short and long range goals and strategies to meet department, divisional, and corporate objectives.
  • Manage the various vendor relationships, understanding contract terms, strategic opportunities, financial controls, and driving capability and product roadmaps.
  • Maintains expertise and awareness of industry trends and technologies; making timely adjustments to strategies as appropriate.
What it takes:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
At least 5 years of experience in Windows endpoint engineering, administration, or support.
At least 3 years of experience in managing and leading Windows endpoint engineering teams.
Strong knowledge of Windows devices, operating system, and related technologies, such as Active Directory, Group Policy, SCCM, Intune, PowerShell, etc.
Strong knowledge of Windows endpoint security, compliance, and risk management.
Strong project management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and customer service skills.
Certifications in Windows, such as MCSA, MCSE, or MD-100/101, are preferred
