Vanguard has a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) Sales Strategist position open in our Financial Advisor Services (FAS) team. The RIA Sales Strategist is strategy and operations focused and uniquely positioned within one of FAS's main distribution groups, the RIA Channel Management team. This high-octane team is responsible for a broad spectrum of work including development of the sales strategy, enabling sales to drive outcomes via data driven recommendations, leading business planning, and supporting channel data and analytics priorities .
As an RIA Sales Strategist, you will get routine exposure to our senior leadership team and develop expertise in the intermediary business and the practice of sales. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is analytical and enjoys solving business problems, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management . The ability to thrive in ambiguity and complexit y is key.

Responsibilities:
- Establishes and organizes strategic priorities for the sales team including client segmentation methodologies, coverage, and service models.
- Identifies opportunities for optimized strategies in a particular channel, territory, or market segment. Communicates opportunities and changes in strategic approach for consistent application across the sales team.
- Plans and executes promotional events leveraging expertise in a particular sales channel, territory or market segment.
- Researches and analyzes emerging trends in the industry and influences sales leadership to consider strategic implications of the evolving market.
- Collaborates with analytics teams to support analytical needs of the sales team and identify key trends that may have implications on the sales methodologies or business strategy.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Five years related work experience.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. MBA preferred.
