IT Mobility Engineering Manager

Vanguard's Mobility Engineering team is responsible for the technologies and capabilities that deliver the end user experience to our global crew through a mix of both mobile devices and software. We are seeking a motivated and experienced leader who is passionate about delivering a great experience to users through modern endpoint management tools and practices. As the team's leader, you will be responsible for influencing designing, implementing, and optimizing MDM Solutions (Intune, JAMF, WorkspaceONE, etc.). You will work closely with cross-functional teams, to architect and deliver robust, scalable, and secure solutions and participate in the development of user stories, sprint planning, and test case development / execution within an agile project environment.

In this role you will:
  • Hire, evaluate, and supervise crew. Provide guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Set performance standards, review performance, and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Manage the resolution of the most complex platform issues elevated from staff and clients.
  • Manage technical support staff who implement, monitor, troubleshoot, and install platforms across all systems. Plan, develop, and execute short range goals and strategies to meet department, divisional, and corporate objectives.
  • Develop and implement changes to department policies and standard operating procedures to meet changing business needs. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Lead quality initiatives to improve the delivery of service levels.
  • Deliver hardware and software maintenance and ensuring maintenance of critical technology is completed. Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and maintain standards for platforms. Implement new technologies for enterprise-wide infrastructure projects.
  • Develop technical standards to serve Vanguard technical needs. Manage the ongoing performance of IT vendor products and services
  • Learn and understand client area business functions and requirements. Determine the appropriate technical tool to address the client's business needs.
What it takes:

Minimum of 8-10+ years related work experience.
Undergraduate degree in a related field

or

the equivalent combination of training and experience.
Expertise in Intune and JAMF a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Working knowledge of network fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, and routing protocols.
Comfortable with security and compliance best practices.

Specializations that'll have an impact:
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Intune Expert and JAMF Certifications.
Advanced knowledge of iOS, iPadOS, Android, Intune, Azure, and endpoint architecture including per-app VPN platforms such as Zscaler/JAMF Connect. Experience with VR/XR platforms such as Meta Quest and Apple Vision Pro.
Experience with mobile threat detection platforms such as Crowdstrike Falcon/JAMF Protect.
Ability to identify and implement automation opportunities to increase productivity and maintain high quality deployments.
Working knowledge of F5, ZScaler, Okta, Crowdstrike Falcon, JAMF Connect, JAMF Protect, Splunk, and Systrack.
Experience leading and mentoring staff, technical support organizations.
Experience with production readiness review process.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple problems simultaneously.
