Our Team & Opportunity
The APAC Marketing Technology (MarTech) team is responsible for:
- Being the in-region technology team with deep expertise to develop and maintain our Adobe, SFMC, and AWS Experience technology.
- Partnering with IT, Marketing, and key business stakeholders both in-region and across Vanguard Global teams to drive engineering excellence and delivery of key priorities.
- Propelling Vanguard's mission by enabling Marketing through advancing technology solutions as well as assisting the adoption of existing platforms.
The Delivery Manager will partner with Marketing teams to manage and lead a team of technical specialists who design, develop, test, implement, and monitor software and tools. They will work with business leaders to define scope and requirements, plan and execute the development of various systems, and strategically advise how contemporary technologies, education, and process innovation can help deliver value and meet business goals and outcomes. A high level of IT and business acumen, specifically in the Web and Marketing Technology field, is essential.
The Delivery Manager will also provide technical leadership to establish and foster a best-of-breed engineering team for the APAC Marketing technology area, as well as contributing to the IT International agenda.
What You Will Do
- Drive Marketing Technology strategy and vision in partnering with Marketing teams.
- Continue to mature and build and maintain marketing platforms such as Adobe suite of tools, SFMC.
- Drive the teams to deliver value realization to our Marketing partners.
- Uplift existing platforms from the build phase to the adoption phase and evolve them as required.
- Define and stay on top of the roadmap to ensure the MarTech stack is highly relevant and built for the future.
- Hire, evaluate, and supervise crew. Provide guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Set performance standards, review performance, and make informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
- Lead sourcing partners and international teams.
- Deliver software releases relating to the product for the business units. Work with business clients to determine scope and develop environmental requirements for each project.
- Work closely with management to develop and implement staffing and operational plans. Participate in the development of short/long-term department goals. Monitor and report on service delivery metrics and overall performance.
- Develop and implement changes to department policies and procedures to meet changing business needs and achieve department objectives. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Lead quality initiatives to improve the delivery of service levels. Work with senior management in the planning, development, and execution of short/long-range goals.
- Lead the team with Agile methodologies and enabling project success through improvements in ways of working.
- Present status, metrics, and department initiatives at meetings with management and project peers. Maintain relationships with technical teams, IT, and business partners.
- Participate in the development of the department budget. Review expenses and ensure the department operates within budgetary guidelines.
- Ensure staff complies with information technology and information security policies and procedures and verify that deliverables meet requirements.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience with designing and maturing the use of Marketing Technology (MarTech) capabilities to enable integrated digital marketing across multiple channels and data platforms. Adobe AEP stack an advantage.
- Proven experience within lean, agile, and continuous delivery practices.
- Experience in leading and developing a high-performing delivery team in an agile environment.
- People leadership skills, including coaching, providing feedback, and having performance conversations.
- Experience within IT operations and applications.
- Ability to contribute to and understand strategic perspectives and translate them into actions.
Specializations That'll Make an Impact
- Hands-on experience with Adobe AEP products such as AEP RT-CDP, Target, Launch, CJA, AJO, and AEM.
- Experience in architecture and design of marketing, advertising, and data platforms (e.g., SFMC, Adobe).
- Full-Stack development experience - Java, Spring, Angular, and DB technologies.
- Database skills - Oracle, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB.
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of Amazon Services: Amazon API Gateway, EC2, ECS, Fargate, SQS, SNS, Lambda, AWS RDS (DynamoDB, Postgres, Aurora), CloudFront, Route 53, Elastic Load Balancing, CloudWatch, CloudTrail.
- A deep intellectual curiosity and learning agility; stays on the forefront of business and technology solutions, especially API and microservice design, application security, and Front-End/UI development.
