In this internship program you will:

  • Develop a broad understanding of our business and gain deep insights into the department where you are pursuing your project work within Vanguard's sales divisions . Whether it is Personal Investor, Financial Advisor Services, or Institutional Investor Group, your assignment will draw upon your experiences and interests to add exceptional value to the business.


  • Learn and practice sales skills that show how relationship management, creative thinking, technology, analysis, and problem-solving drive success in a world-class corporation.


  • Gain confidence in navigating the ambiguities of the industry as you identify problems, recommend solutions, and improve how the business functions.


  • Receive personalized coaching and mentorship by meeting regularly with your program manager and internship manager, ensuring you have the support needed t o excel.


  • Cultivate new relationships in a fast-growing network of dedicated professionals who are ambitiously working to do what's right for the client.

Upon successful completion of the internship, you will have the opportunity to apply for a full-time role aligned with one of Vanguard's sales divisions or one of our Vanguard Specialty Programs. These roles and rotational programs promote networking, growth and development, a unique perspective, and an emphasis on leadership and client impact.

  • Open to all majors, with a preference for candidates pursuing degrees in Business, Finance, Marketing, Accounting, or related fields, who are interested in a career in financial services.


  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, capable of inspiring and guiding others in both formal and informal contexts. Skilled in managing multiple priorities and driving results.


  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to forge and maintain robust professional relationships within a diverse network.


  • The ability to work well independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
