Associate Technical Product Manager, Specialist

We are a team focused on enabling change via third party provider FNZ, who are a leading PaaS (Platform as a service) firm. With FNZ as our platform provider, this means that FNZ technology constitutes a lot of the technology we know and use daily from our client site to our admin site (referred to by FNZ as the platform).

Our job is to facilitate and coordinate technical changes and questions related to delivery capabilities through FNZ. We do this via scheduled drops of new code, known as releases and adhoc technical updates.

  • Alignment of the UKPI roadmap and the FNZ roadmap
  • That the UKPI business can request FNZ change
  • That requested change is prioritised and ratified with our leadership team
  • That prioritised change is documented effectively by VG stakeholders through requirements documents
  • Supporting VG stakeholders requesting FNZ change with our knowledge of platform functionality
  • Ensuring FNZ meet our key requirements through their solution documentation
  • Driving VG stakeholder engagement with FNZ until their requested change is live in production
  • Hosting weekly analysis and API clinics to unblock internal teams where they have quick questions relating to FNZ
  • Working daily with the FNZ project team to remove blockers, address escalations and track the delivery of the technical changes we are facilitating
  • Ensuring that technical changes (release bound and non-release bound) are delivered safely to production

Focus of your role:

  • Supporting stakeholders with FNZ requests

    • Through platform knowledge
    • Through knowledge of delivery process
  • Supporting the delivery of items within the release cycle

    • Reviewing requirements documentation
    • Reviewing solution documentation
    • Supporting functional reviews (developer demos)
    • Defect review and support during regression
    • Support during warranty period (post release period)
  • Running the FNZ analysis clinic

    • Ensuring that Vanguard asks are clear
    • Ensuring that FNZ responses are clear and requests are closed down

Qualifications

  • Two years of managing a project preferred. Financial Services or function-specific experience preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
