AI Product Manager / Context Engineer
This role works on new product proof of concept, development, testing and product management responsibilities for generative AI using Large Language Models in Vanguard's Discretionary Advice Platform domain. The role involves product management activities to prioritize solutions that will improve an AI Agent's knowledge, tools, behaviors, and user experience for certain client intent domains in the advice space. This may involve RAG or agent workflow techniques such as managing knowledge base content, prompt engineering, development of tools exposed to the agent as well as a chat interface and associated UX components. The role collaborates closely with a data scientist for running evaluations in various categories to measure the behavior of the agent with certain prompts and context situations. The candidate will apply business and advice industry acumen, product management, and AI context engineering techniques to improve the quality of the agent's behaviors in practical client intent use cases.

Core Responsibilities:
1. Leads digital product management activities for multiple digital products, or one strategic product.
2. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to create best practices that drive significant change to the client experience and AI agent performance.
3. Coaches digital product teams towards best practices and learnings. Ensures delivery of messaging, communication, and customer outreach as necessary.
4. Partners with stakeholders to resolve production and implementation issues in a timely manner, and supports/drives escalations where required to enable rapid delivery.
5. Leads the planning, development and implementation of new digital products. Defines and analyzes markets, developing detailed product features and requirements, and developing implementation plans.
6. Employs a variety of qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques to continually improve the user experience.
7. Participates in and provides recommendations for ongoing business planning and departmental prioritization activities.
8. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required. Graduate degree preferred.
Minimum of five years related work experience. Two years of leading large cross-functional teams on major organizational projects preferred.
Experience or demonstrated knowledge of generative AI, large language models, RAG, agent orchestration workflows and the platforms or tools used for building and managing AI agent products.
