JLL has an opportunity for an Operating Engineer to assist in the hands-on maintenance of building systems for the safe, efficient, and proper operations of all assigned properties. The assigned properties will include four financial institution office buildings located in Wilson, NC. The engineer will perform minor repairs and help in the operation, monitoring, and performance of preventive maintenance on the building systems.
Some of what you will be doing:
Performs maintenance and monitoring repairs to the Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems for the facility to keep the facility and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned.

Maintains responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing, and inventory control, contracted maintenance, general maintenance, and technical proficiency.
Cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and changing parts to maintain the HVAC systems and associated equipment at optimum performance levels.
Review monthly client service request summaries to pinpoint and correct recurrent operational problems.
Evaluates vendors and suppliers regularly about quality and competitive pricing, and verifies the accuracy of deliveries.
Records readings and makes adjustments where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment.
Complies with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials; maintains a clean and safe workplace.
Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory.
Monitors the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors.
Who we are looking for:
Required
High school diploma or GED.
2+ years of experience in the building maintenance industry
Preferred
A CFC Universal license
An accredited trade school degree in HVAC, electronic, or other industry-related trade and/or Union training and certification.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. with an on-call rotation
Pay $28+ hourly, depending on experience
