Business Analyst - GenAI

Business Analyst are responsible for working with the agile team and the Product Owner to define and document acceptance criteria. They ensure the solutions delivered are of high quality by collaborating with their agile team members and by leveraging/using appropriate elicitation/documentation practices for the team. They are active team members who participate in the estimation of work required to deliver software features. AI experience is beneficial for this role.

Job Specification

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of business analysis and/or scrum master experience
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Insurance or related business experience; Leave or Short-Term Disability knowledge is a plus.
  • FINEOS application experience
  • Demonstrated application of analytical and detail-oriented skills
  • Ability to use logical and innovative approach to troubleshoot and problem solve.
  • Self-motivated and results oriented.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within a team and various business partners across the organization.
  • IIBA certifications are a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains the IT Delivery roadmap to ensure the integrity of product backlog alignment, status report, and metrics functionality.
  • Works closely with the Scrum Master or Team Lead to establish and maintain project progress.
  • Collaborates with the IT Delivery team (Architects, Software Engineers, Test Engineers, etc.) to define, build, and produce features and solutions.
  • Partners with the Product owner to effectively define user stories and ensure accurate acceptance criteria.
  • Gathers requirements for persona of specific user experiences.
  • Evaluates native functionality from third party/cloud solutions.
  • Performs configurations including page layouts, workflows, reporting and dashboards.
  • Assists with internal test execution, inclusive of documenting results, managing and tracking defects, and trouble-shooting issues that arise out of testing.
  • Participates in daily stand-ups outlining progress made, progress planned and detailing impediments.
