Optum is seeking an experienced Testing Automation Architect to expand our automation capabilities within our Technology Consulting Practice.

Successful candidates will have healthcare systems implementation experience, excellent communication and leadership skills, and expertise in leading client presentations. In addition, individuals will have rich experience in testing automation using multiple tools, expertise in developing automation frameworks and automation strategy, as well as significant experience in leading testing activities across multiple clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Developing a testing automation strategy for our technology consulting practice, spanning both payer and provider markets
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including technical teams, to identify automation opportunities and prioritize initiatives
  • Coordinate with vendors and other external parties to implement automation solutions
  • Provide mentorship to a team of testing automation specialists to design, develop, and execute testing automation solutions
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to automation
  • Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and timelines for automation projects
  • Test planning, guiding team on test scripts design
  • Coordination with other teams on test environment and test data
  • Ensure testing artifacts are consistent and of high quality
  • Ensure progress of test activities as per plan, adhering to milestones and meeting SLAs
  • Investigate and diagnose problems, propose and execute solutions
  • Build consensus among client stakeholders who play a critical role in the client's ability to successfully implement the identified solutions
  • Effectively manages engagement scope and proactively communicates with client if/when scope may require adjustment
  • Perceived as trusted advisor across client organization and able to build deep relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Provide subject matter expertise on testing automation to other Optum Advisory Services business units, including assessment of project performance

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years developing and implementing test automation solutions
  • Experience of working with large-scale and complex implementations
  • Experience with creating testing artifacts based on requirements and design documents
  • Background in healthcare
  • Expertise on multi- automation tools like Selenium, TOSCA, TestComplete, UiPath, AccelQ, UFT
  • Excellent understanding of the Testing Lifecycle and the different types of testing such as Functional and Integration Testing
  • Proven ability to understand existing Test Processes and Plans and identify improvements and efficiencies
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Payor or Provider experience
  • Experience leading test automation teams
  • Experience in Agile development methodology
  • DevOps, CI/CD, Continuous testing environments
  • Knowledge of the different life cycle development models and methodologies used to develop large software intensive platforms

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $104,700 to $190,400 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
