Senior Software Engineering Lead

Primary Responsibilities

  • Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC):
    Lead and actively contribute to all phases of the SDLC including requirements gathering, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and post-deployment maintenance.
  • Microservices & API Development:
    Architect and develop scalable, secure RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot within a containerized microservices ecosystem.
  • Cloud-Native Application Engineering:
    Design and deploy cloud-native applications leveraging AWS services such as ECS, EKS, Lambda, Firehose, S3, ALB, AppConfig, Route 53, DynamoDB, and OpenSearch.
  • Infrastructure & DevOps Automation:
    Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform to automate provisioning and configuration.
  • System Reliability & Incident Management:
    Proactively monitor application health, troubleshoot production issues, and perform root cause analysis to ensure high availability and system resilience.
  • Integration & Validation Testing:
    Conduct comprehensive integration testing to validate seamless interactions across microservices, APIs, and third-party systems.
  • Security & Compliance:
    Embed security best practices into application design and development. Manage Identity and Access Management policies and roles to ensure secure access control across cloud resources.
  • Performance Optimization:
    Continuously monitor and fine-tune cloud infrastructure and application performance to ensure cost-efficiency and scalability.
  • Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 8-10 years of hands-on experience in backend development using Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs with a strong emphasis on security, scalability, and cloud-native integration.
  • Proven experience in building event-driven architectures using AWS services such as SNS, SQS, Lambda, and Kinesis.
  • Deep understanding of AWS cloud ecosystem, including services like DynamoDB, ECS, EKS, EC2, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, S3, EFS, ALB, and AppConfig.
  • Proficiency in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipeline setup, version control (GitHub), and automation tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or Terraform.
  • Solid grasp of authentication and authorization including role-based access control, policy management, and secure resource provisioning.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities
  • Proven excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work within cross-functional teams

    Preferred Qualifications:
  • AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer
