Senior Data Engineer

Primary Responsibilities:
- Write SQL queries
- Design, develop, unit test and maintain ETL jobs to create or enhance data warehouses or marts
- Identify test solutions for small to medium size projects and create test strategy or test plans, as well as Support defect or issue resolution and retesting
- Deploy and test code from lower environments to production
- Document technical specifications, data models, process flows, etc.
- Identify areas of improvement areas and propose solutions for the same
- Collaborate with delivery and technical team members on design and development activities within Agile or Scrum teams
- Collaborate with business partners to understand business processes, standard release management requirements, and underlying data and reporting needs
- Willingness to work with different teams
- Be able to adapt in a dynamic work environment, learn quickly and solve problems

- Conduct research and stay updated on the latest AI technologies and tools available for in ETL and data engineering.
- Leverage GitHub Copilot for productivity

Required Qualifications:
- Graduate degree or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 1+ years of experience in any ETL tool
- 1+ years of experience with data warehouses or marts (data modeling and design)
- 1+ years of intermediate to advanced SQL experience
- 1+ years of SSIS development experience
- Experience working in a matrixed environment on a fast-paced project
- Business-side experience with IT partners, or IT-side experience with Business partners
- Experience as a AI builder, should be able to propose AI driven projects
- Demonstrated ability to use AI and AI enabled tools in daily work for productivity increase
- Proven proactive thinker, self-driven, great team player who drives innovation
- Proven quickly adopt AI enabled tools available in the market
Preferred Qualifications:
- API Experience
- Understanding of RESTful Principles and GraphQL
- Expertise in Programming Languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java)
- Knowledge of API Security Best Practices
- Proficiency in API Design and Architecture
- Proficiency with API Documentation Tools (e.g., Swagger or OpenAPI)
- Data Bricks Experience
- Experience with Delta Live Tables within data processing jobs
- Creating and scheduling data processing (ETL) jobs using Data Bricks to load into Delta and/or Delta Live Tables, Data Lakes
