The Out of Network (OON) Dispute Resolution team is responsible for end-to-end resolution of regulated OON disputes/arbitrations across UnitedHealthcare (UHC) commercial lines of business on a variety of platforms. This team has expanded in a direct relationship with the No Surprises Act (NSA) section of the federal Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA). The rapid growth and development of this team has required extensive onboarding and domestic partnerships with WIPRO, our external global partner, and OGA (Optum Global Advantage), an internal global partner.

The Business Process Analyst will work with internal and external business partners to understand current processes and find improvements to be implemented for further success. They will collaborate with current report producers and workforce managers to identify a collaborative single source reporting strategy. This position will also be responsible for identifying opportunities, presenting data and analysis to senior leaders and key business partners.

This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8am - 8pm EST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a Business Process Analyst for the OON Disputes Team
  • Monitor and direct all team performance reporting for all impacted states to support and improve overall data integrity and associated regulatory requirements
  • Apply project management discipline to manage and implement departmental initiatives quickly and cost-effectively to ensure that overall department objectives are met
  • Develop and update database and report standards to maintain accurate documentation of issues/cases, projects, and metric.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills; ability to exercise good judgment resulting in high-quality individual and team and quality performance

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 3+ years of experience with project management, process improvement or performance/inventory management
  • Current or Previous experience driving business process performance based on analysis of state and federal Surprise Billing/OON Dispute mandates, and overall trends, to improve the compliance quality and effectiveness of the team
  • Current or previous experience leveraging strategic relationships across the company with domestic and global partners to ensure compliance with Surprise Billing/OON Dispute mandates and initiatives
  • Experience with Microsoft Word (create/edit documents); Excel (pivot tables, formulas); PowerPoint (create/edit presentations); SharePoint, Teams, Outlook
  • Experience interacting and collaborating with stakeholders (other team members, internal customers, and executives)
  • Understanding of automation and AI functionality

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $71,200 - $127,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
