Under general supervision, performs all routine and special diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures. Provides patients with safe, courteous and efficient care. Assists in other sections of the department as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepares for and performs all MRI scans
  • Maintains vigilant attention to MRI safety for patients and staff
  • Evaluates MRI images for technical quality
  • Completes "Informed Consent" forms as needed
  • Starts and monitors IV contrast media injections
  • Maintains accurate records for medications as outlined in The Everett Clinic Policy
  • Maintains the cleanliness of the scanner and associated minor equipment in accordance with the infection control policies and procedures
  • Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested
  • Assists in department as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
  • Completion of a course in imaging technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Current Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certification
  • Radiologic Technologist registry by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Advanced ARRT-MR advanced certification within one year of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers (AHA) or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (American Red Cross)
  • 1+years of experience as an MRI Technologist

Washington Residents Only: The hourly range for Washington residents is $41.50 to $52.80 per hour.
