Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of software engineers working on iSeries (AS/400), Synon, and RxClaim systems
  • Oversee the software development lifecycle for healthcare claims processing applications
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on RPG, CL, and Synon development
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions
  • Ensure system stability, performance, and compliance with healthcare industry standards
  • Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within legacy systems
  • Support exploration and pilot projects involving AI or automation as relevant to claims processing
  • Manages and is accountable for professional employees and/or supervisors
  • Impact of work is most often at the local level

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience developing and managing software on IBM iSeries (AS/400) platforms
  • Experience with RxClaim or similar healthcare claims processing systems is highly desirable
  • Experience managing software development teams
  • Solid expertise in Synon (CA 2E) and RPG/CL programming languages
  • Exposure to AI concepts or willingness to learn emerging technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills
