Capability Manager - Technical Product Manager

Position in this function is responsible for specific services, functions, and solutions available internally or as a supporting element of a product, typically not sold stand-alone externally. Positions in this function play a critical role in ability to deliver products to market and/or manage internal business functions. Capability management requires alignment to business and/or product strategy, effective design and development, and ongoing management of capability portfolio across the full lifecycle to ensure business-specific or cross-enterprise impact. Market insights are leveraged to monitor trends and external landscape, and to inform capability strategies and customer use case scenarios. Positions in this function are accountable for delivering sustainable, financially sound solutions that solve a specific problem and enable successful external product delivery and/or internal business function performance, while driving adoption with internal business clients and define future capability direction that supports business strategy and new opportunities. Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Works with less structured, more complex issues
  • Serves as a resource to others
  • Understand and translate complex business needs into detailed software requirements, ensuring that development efforts align with strategic business objectives
  • Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure mutual understanding of project scope and requirements
  • Develop detailed, crisp business (functional & non-functional) requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture for each product and application
  • Draft and refine user stories that clearly communicate user needs and expectations to the development team
    Collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders across our US and India teams to ensure that requirements are understood and met
  • Continuously review and refine product documentation based on user feedback and software updates, ensuring clarity and accuracy
  • Validate that the delivered software meets the specified requirements and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regard to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • Product Management experience (POPM certification would be an advantage)
  • Agile experience
  • Writing Technical features or stories experience
  • Workable experience of code debugging and DB querying
  • Proven ability to maintain or prioritize Product Backlog
  • Demonstrated ability to absorb the technical details from artifacts, XML's, UMLs, Database, Webservices, HLDs etc., and drive the product or functional use cases

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of business analysis/product management experience within claims processing systems and processes, claims data analytics, claims files management, payments processing
  • Product Management experience (POPM certification would be an advantage)
  • 5+ years of experience working on an Agile delivery team
  • 3+ years working with US Healthcare
  • Agile experience
  • Writing Technical features/stories experience
  • Workable experience of code debugging and DB querying
  • Proven solid verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives
  • Proven high attention to detail including precise and effective cross-team and stakeholder communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Proven ability to maintain or prioritize Product Backlog
  • Ability to absorb the technical details from artifacts, XML's, UMLs, Database, Webservices, HLDs etc., and drive the product /functional use cases
