A typical day for these candidates would be scheduling/seeing patients throughout the day. When the employee is not with a patient, they will be expected to complete basic administrative tasks.
This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 8:30am - 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends. Our office is located at 275 NEW LANCASTER RD Leominster, MA 01453
We offer 4-6 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be aligned with your schedule.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform the functions of a Bi-lingual medical interpreter to assist in the communication between Limited English Proficient patients and staff
- Interpreters are to make medical providers aware of any cultural differences in order for the providers to provide appropriate medical care
- Confirm patient's medical appointments prior to the appointment date as requested
- Manager appointment schedule and initiate accurate documentation of interpretation and provide appropriate paperwork to Interpreter Service office in a timely manner in accordance with the department protocol
- Assist with Interpreter Service Office administrative tasks

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Bilingual fluency in English / Spanish
- 60-hour Medical Interpreter certificate
- Proficiency in both languages with the ability to read and write
- Knowledge of various software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
- Ability to work our normal business hours of 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of Bilingual medical interpretation experience
- EPIC experience
Soft Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
