The Associate Patient Care Coordinator will greet and check in patients, verify patient demographic and insurance information, collect balances, co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurances, and conduct patient check-out.

Location: 327 Broad St. Sumter, SC. May be asked to float to Manning, SC location for coverage, as needed.
Schedule:
- 40-hour work week with flexibility required to work Monday-Friday, between the hours of 7:15am-6pm and Saturday & Sunday between the hours of 7:15amam-4pm
- The schedule will include Friday, Saturday, & Sunday shifts and will be determined by the supervisor upon hire
- Holidays may be required, depending on business need
Primary Responsibilities:
- Greets patients in a professional and courteous matter
- Directs patients to appropriate areas
- Verifies and updates all patient demographic, employment, and insurance information with EACH visit
- "Checks-in" all patients, gives patients medical forms to complete or update
- Collects co-payments, deductibles, co-insurances, and outstanding balances, verifies insurance eligibility, verifies pre-authorizations were obtained (if applicable)
- Collects payment, writes receipts, and posts payments
- "Checks-out" all patients, schedules appointments for procedures, labs, and follow-up visits. Provides patient education for any prep information needed for procedures
- Prepares information for next day's appointment (if applicable)
- Scans and files patient information as needed
- Reconciles cash drawer daily and sends deposits to Department Manager
- Retrieves and sorts mail into appropriate boxes. Sorts and documents any returned mail
- Maintains a good working relationship with practice staff members
- Meets dress code standards; appearance is neat and clean
- Completes annual education requirements
- Reports to work on time and as scheduled
- Completes work in a timely manner
- Attends staff meetings
- Ensures patient confidentiality
- Complies with all practice policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
- 1+ years of customer service experience
- Access to reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Medical office experience
- EMR experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel)
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $27.69 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
