We are seeking a highly motivated and self-starting Marketing Manager to specialize in member and provider communications for Optum Care Delivery in the Midwest Region. This individual contributor role is responsible for driving the development and implementation of member marketing strategies focused on engagement and retention, while working to drive completion of priority health care services/visits and an enhanced patient experience. As well, this role will support the business in their communications with partner providers, helping to ensure clear information exchange with the intent to inform, educate, foster trust, and improve patient outcomes.

The A/B Testing Lead will manage testing and personalization efforts for the HealthSafe ID® (HSID) product, which consists of (among other responsibilities) working closely with stakeholders to identify key metrics; conducting analysis; leveraging and facilitating research; generating idea backlogs; designing, coordinating, and launching activities in Adobe Target; analyzing results; and communicating performance to the business stakeholders. The person in this role will need to excel in building and sustaining working relationships with several teams, including Product, Analytics, Research, Development, and others to ensure efficient and quality optimization of the experiences they support.

This role will be part of the A/B Testing & Optimization team that sits within Data & Analytics. It's a centralized team that supports multiple Optum portals, with this role focusing on HSID, our login and registration platform. This is a collaborative, innovative, and close-knit team that aims to deliver actionable results to its partners. There's plenty of opportunity to contribute and provide value to both the team and larger organization.

The A/B Testing Lead works closely with partners from Optum's Experience Design, Technology, Marketing, Research, Operations, Analytics, Product, and Business teams to lead the development of optimization and testing strategies for digital products and experiences. This individual will be given the opportunity to work with many stakeholders and be part of a collaborative and upbeat team that enables innovation and ideation through a culture of experimentation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Build a culture of experimentation within the Product and IT teams that you support
  • Be an active participant in our Testing & Optimization communities
  • Collaborate with the Business to solve problems and optimize the user experience
  • Work closely with cross-organizational stakeholders on strategic priorities and project plans
  • Translate business needs into effective A/B testing strategies
  • Create and manage an A/B testing roadmap
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in designing statistically sound tests towards measuring key metrics
  • Leverage online and offline data sources to both identify opportunities for and report on A/B tests
  • Partner with Digital Delivery teams on requirements and user stories
  • Present and communicate ideas, milestones, and deliverables to stakeholders
  • Provide ongoing insights to the broader organization

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience managing testing and personalization activities, digital product management, or user experience
  • 2+ years of analytics experience with an ability to articulate and present data-related stories
  • Familiarity with A/B and multivariate testing tools such as Adobe Target, Optimizely, SiteSpect, etc.
  • Demonstrated understanding of statistical fundamentals

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Math, Business, Marketing, Statistics, Engineering, Research, or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with a diverse set of stakeholders in an agile environment, including Digital Product Managers, UX Designers, and Engineers
  • Knowledge of audience segmentation, targeting, and measurement strategies
  • Experience utilizing MS Office or similar applications
  • Understanding of relevant professional disciplines, including product management, Web design, usability, and user experience design
  • Experience with project-based and communication tools (Workfront, Aha, MS Teams)
  • Knowledge of the digital product space, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and/or financial services
  • Knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau, Python, and R
  • A curious mindset and proactive work ethic
  • Ability to extract relevant and actionable insights from research studies
  • Solid communication skills
  • Team player with a growth mindset

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
