We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Revenue Accountant to join our team and contribute to our success.

Position Overview: The Senior Principal Revenue Accountant will be a key member of the Billing Operations team, responsible for managing and improving our subscription billing processes. This expert-level role will lead initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and accuracy in billing operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in revenue accounting, process improvement, and contract management, and will thrive in a cross-functional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Provide expert guidance and strategic direction to optimize billing operations and support organizational growth.

• High-Level Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of billing data and processes to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

• Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiencies to support a streamlined subscription billing process.

• Contract Interpretation: Maintain a detailed understanding of UKG's contracts and order forms, including renewals and amendments, and how different variations impact subscription fee billing and revenue recognition.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the SaaS Billing Support & Usage Management team, as well as other departments, to ensure accurate and timely billing and to drive process improvements.

• Advanced Quote-to-Cash Understanding: Possess an advanced understanding of the quote-to-cash process and the interrelationships between different functions and processes, ensuring that process improvements consider impacts on other areas.

• Mentorship: Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.

• Employee Count Data Management: Administer the process of assigning customer employee count data to monthly subscriptions to determine billable overage fees, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and validity.

• Billing Integrations: Ensure seamless integration of billing data from Salesforce to our ERP system.

• Billing Escalations: Address escalations related to SaaS subscriptions and overage billing.

• Operational Management: Oversee daily billing operations, including manual billing processes and credit processing.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in revenue accounting or a similar role.

• Expertise in subscription billing processes and usage-based billing models.

• Strong understanding of contracts and amendments.

• Proficiency in ERP systems and Salesforce.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proven track record of leading complex billing operations and driving process improvements.

• Advanced understanding of the quote-to-cash process and its interrelationships with other functions.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The pay range for this position is $142,100 to $204,200, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.
