About the Team:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mgr. Cloud Engineering to join our dynamic infrastructure team.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will be managing 8-10 engineers who are responsible for end to end lifecycle of Cloud Deployment which may include Private Cloud deployments such as Linux and Windows systems, strongly emphasizing cloud infrastructure automation and product/service lifecycle, particularly within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Responsibilities:
- Manage the Agile ceremonies by working with the team in a Scrum or Kanban practice. Reviewing the day-to-day work using Jira and Confluence.
- Will have the responsibilities of a solution lead, scrum master, and product owner. Manage team challenges, remove obstacles, mentor & coaching as a servant leader, and advocate for the team.
- Design, implement, and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform across multi-cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Collaborate with development and operations teams to define infrastructure requirements and ensure scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions.
- Implement blue-green deployments and zero-downtime release strategies. Manage and version control infrastructure configurations and scripts using Git and GitHub. Collaborate with development and operations teams to build and improve CI/CD pipelines.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving IaC standards and practices. Monitor and optimize GCP resource utilization and costs.
Security & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with security standards and policies.
- Implement and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Participate in security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Documentation & Support:
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for systems, configurations, and procedures using Confluence.
- Provide support and troubleshoot issues, responding to incidents and resolving problems efficiently.
- Participate in an on-call rotation as required.
About You:
Basic Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of management experience in the software engineering space with working knowledge of solution architecture in the various Private and Public cloud deployments.
- 5+ years of experience leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using Terraform and managing code versions with GitHub.
- GCP and Azure experience proficiency with Git and GitHub for source code management and collaboration.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with scripting and programming languages (Bash, Python, Ansible, Go).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., DataDog, Grafana).

- Cloud certification is a plus for this position but experience will also be considered.

The pay range for this position is $126,300 to $181,550, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.
