Lead Business Data Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Business Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of business analysis principles, coupled with advanced technical expertise, to bridge the gap between strategic business objectives and data-driven solutions. This role requires a proactive individual capable of driving complex, high-impact projects, guiding cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring the successful delivery of scalable analytics solutions that support organizational goals.

Responsibilities:
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to define and prioritize business data needs, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and enterprise-wide data strategies.
• Oversee the design and development of advanced dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI, ensuring scalability, usability, and alignment with business KPIs.
• Drive complex data analyses to uncover actionable insights, influence business decisions, and support long-term strategic planning.
• Establish and enforce standards for documentation, data visualization, and reporting to promote consistency and knowledge sharing across teams.
• Mentor and guide junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and analytical excellence.
• Collaborate with data engineering and IT leadership to optimize data architecture, integration, and performance across platforms.
• Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance the analytics ecosystem and support evolving business needs.
• Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders in a clear, compelling, and data-driven manner.
• Stay ahead of industry trends in analytics, business intelligence, and data operations to drive innovation and maintain competitive advantage.

Required Qualifications:
• 7+ years of experience in business data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field, with demonstrated leadership in analytics initiatives.
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, SQL, DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
• Experience with SQL and database management systems (e.g., Big Query, SQL Server).
• Deep understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data governance best practices.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional projects and mentoring analytics professionals.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate complex data into strategic insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to executive audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-impact projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts and their application in business analytics.
• Experience working in Agile environments and using project management tools.
• Proficiency in Python or R for advanced data analysis and automation.
