About the Team:

Uber has recently launched Uber Direct, an on-demand delivery service for business customers. The last-mile delivery market is estimated to be worth upwards of $7.5b AUD in Australia, with rapidly increasing consumer preference for on-demand services. Uber Direct has the potential to support on-demand delivery across a range of customer verticals - restaurants, supermarkets, non-food retailers, and many more use cases yet to be discovered. We are creating something brand new! Many of the problems we face are new for Uber and require creative solutions that cater to different customers, we're able to solve them because we deeply care #BuildwithHeart.

About the Role:

An Uber Direct Technical Solutions Manager works as a technical consultant and industry expert with prospective and existing partners to accelerate complex deals and merchant value. The TSM will use their domain expertise to work with cross-functional Uber teams and implement integration enhancement initiatives whilst developing ANZ's knowledge of its integration partner capabilities.

Your impact in role:

  • Become a complete expert in the Uber Direct / on-demand delivery proposition, deeply understanding the technical and competitive landscape and serving as Uber's authority on the broader technology ecosystem surrounding Uber Direct
  • Provide support (technical analysis and solution design) for enterprise opportunities to remove technical blockers and identify end-user and merchant solution requirements.
  • Lead the optimisation of integrated solutions to increase trip volume across channel partners and merchants.
  • Collaborate with the Uber Direct Operations and New Fulfilment teams to unlock new and innovative delivery capabilities.
  • Develop, lead and optimise pre sales processes and a sales enablement program, empowering teams with the knowledge and tools to promote and integrate Uber Direct's solutions effectively.

The experience you'll bring:

  • An expert in communication and storytelling, able to engage a diverse range of stakeholders, from commercial to technical.
  • A commitment to developing inventive solutions for complicated issues.
  • Expertise in ecommerce platforms, Point-of-Sale systems, shipping management, mobile applications, and marketing automation with a demonstrated ability to expand knowledge to new subject domains quickly.
  • Practical knowledge in working with RESTful APIs and integration ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with web and mobile development environments and programming languages is highly valued.
