About the Role
The EMEA Uber Rides business spans over 40 countries across three continents and is one of the main drivers of Uber's growth and profitability. As a business, we face an outstanding set of opportunities and challenges due to regulatory and economic differences across the region. The EMEA Strategy and Planning (S&P) team works directly for the Regional General Manager of EMEA to shape our strategic approach, implement changes, and coordinate actions across Operations, Marketing, Support, and functional teams.
The team's core responsibilities include managing the annual planning cycle and governance, quarterly strategy refresh, competitive strategy and response, and running strategic projects. Historically, these projects have involved launching new markets, implementing product, legal or policy changes, managing M&A integrations, and improving cross-functional performance.

We are looking for a Senior Associate who will partner with the Regional General Manager of EMEA to deliver strategic projects and help them manage governance for the region; Someone who can navigate a highly diverse set of stakeholders to drive action and results; Someone with high business acumen that can understand complex problems fast, recommend a practical course of action and follow through. Someone who understands and speaks data, operations and strategy equally well.
This person will also provide analytical and strategic support for our Uber Health business. Uber Health is one of the newest and fastest-growing segments within Uber for Business in EMEA.

What You'll Do
- Strategy: Work closely with the Ops leadership across EMEA to create a shared vision and strategic approach for the region and run strategic, consulting-like, projects
- Planning: Build and maintain financial and headcount models, operational reporting, OKRs, projections, and key business metrics to inform leadership decision making
- Uber Health Support: Analyze business metrics and customer behavior to feed into customer engagement and experience strategies. Identify other opportunities for growth, and support the implementation of strategic initiatives for Uber Health.
- Performance Management: Build and maintain performance monitoring systems. Develop a comprehensive understanding of actions that drive results across Rides and Uber Health.
- Program/Project Management: Support regional initiatives by working cross-functionally with teams across EMEA and the U.S., ensuring alignment on priorities and execution.
- Process Improvement: Identify operational gaps, inefficiencies, and risks, leveraging internal data to design and deliver scalable solutions.
- Relationship Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Business Development, People Operations, Product, Legal, Finance, Rides, U4B, Health, etc.) to ensure effective partnerships and execution.
Basic Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, business intelligence and/or strategy.
- A BA or MA degree in Economics, Business or STEM fields.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with comfort engaging senior partners and cross-functional teams.
- Balance attention to detail with swift execution - we need to do things quickly, and we need to do them well
- Experience in defining solutions to complex, strategic topics with a deeply analytical and data-driven approach to issues
- Grittiness. You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and address something hands-on, you persevere when others fall away
- Advanced analytical capabilities preferred, including knowledge of statistics and comfort with SQL
