About the Role

Uber Eats is looking to grow the Merchants' Operations team in the UK and Ireland.

With this role within the Merchant Operations team, you will be responsible for unlocking the sustainable growth of our and our partners' businesses via our marketing products by enabling our teams through product, tooling, education and advanced data insights.

With this role within the Merchant Operations team, you will be working in partnership with the Merchant Growth Lead to execute our merchant growth strategy, focused primarily on growing Ads and Offers operations efficiency. You will extract data, conduct analysis and use your insights to inform and drive business decisions. This role will require you to execute against an ambitious roadmap by being an end-to-end project owner, bringing ideas for process improvements and business growth, and utilising your data analysis skills to test hypotheses and improve business processes.

As a Strategy & Analytics Manager, you will be crafting tools and scalable processes to support local teams in achieving their targets, building analyses, and creating dashboards to measure the success of your projects.

This is not a one-person task, though, and to achieve success, you will collaborate with other local and regional operations teams and, most importantly, with our commercial teams, who represent the needs and wants of our Merchant Partners.

What You'll Do

  • Complete complex data analysis and take the results from those analysis to drive business decisions
  • Building the strategy and the vision based on customer pain points and identified opportunity areas
  • Help launch new product updates and capabilities and drive global impact initiatives. Expand product adoption. Communicate the value of our newest products with a lens of creativity across different stakeholders
  • Develop and own initiatives roadmap to increase adoption and retention of Uber Eats marketing instruments across Uber Eats Partners
  • Work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring projects continue progressing to completion despite ambiguous conditions and tight deadlines
  • Drive sophisticated analysis of data at scale, build models, and aggregate insights to drive key business decisions. Define critical metrics and develop dashboards to supervise business performance; report findings to local leadership to define long-term strategy and decision-making
  • Build and develop strong relationships with cross-functional teams to contribute to the long-term growth of Uber Eats marketing instruments

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor or advanced degree in Business, Economics, Business Analytics, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience within a Strategy or Operations position (e.g. Operations, Consulting, Investment Banking, Corporate Strategy, Sales Operations, Product Management), having managed diverse stakeholders and demonstrated an ability to adapt to a fast-moving working environment.
  • Robust data analytics and technical skills:
  • Proficiency in SQL is crucial for the role;
  • Experience with quantitative data analysis, deep measurable insights and advanced spreadsheet modelling.
  • Strong implementation skills and attention to detail. You are equally comfortable implementing ideas as you are developing them. You habitually double-check and document your work.
  • You are confident in managing and delivering end-to-end projects with autonomy and are comfortable with short-term priority shifts.
  • Open, curious, and eager to learn - you are interested in all things and can build up skills and knowledge fast to become a recognised subject matter expert amongst your peers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication. You can craft a compelling business case and pitch it to senior business leaders, confidently telling a data-backed story that helps secure buy-in.
