Strategic Account Executive, Hospital Systems

San Francisco, CA

About the Team

Uber Health is on a mission to change the way people engage with healthcare for the better by streamlining care coordination, improving the patient experience, and driving better health outcomes. We offer things like non-emergency medical transportation to appointments or grocery and prescription delivery. The goal of these products is to better patient outcomes by providing access to transportation and delivery services, close care gaps by ensuring caregivers can get to patients to reduce no shows, simplifying administration where coordinators and administrators can access multiple services in a single tool with real time tracking and billing transparency, and reducing healthcare costs by enabling access to preventive appointments. One example is our rides for moms program where we partnered with 2 federally qualified health centers to provide free transportation for prenatal and postnatal care appointments for up to 1,000 pregnant people. We can offer choices on how patients receive their rides, either scheduled on their behalf or with a smart gift card for them to use. 76% of people said it would have been difficult to get to their appointments without this service, so we're making a large impact with this work. Uber Health technically falls under our larger B2B Uber for Business group, but given this team is a very high-growth area they have great visibility with leadership including QBRs with our CEO.

About the Role

This pivotal role will drive the expansion and optimization of Uber Health partnerships across a dedicated book of existing hospital systems. Your focus will be on embedding Uber Health deeper within complex healthcare organizations, identifying and activating new use cases, locations, and stakeholders across various departments and affiliated clinics.

You'll manage a portfolio of key hospital system accounts, leveraging your "hunter" mindset to identify cross-sell opportunities with other Uber Health products. Success in this role means not just retaining our current footprint but aggressively expanding it, navigating decentralized decision-making, and securing enterprise-wide adoption. You'll engage with executive leadership and strategically influence director-level stakeholders to drive deeper stickiness and unlock substantial recurring revenue. This is a chance to make a profound impact on patient populations and contribute to Uber Health's mission of becoming a $1B business.

  • Strategic Relationship Management: Cultivate deep, trusted relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders within complex hospital systems, from mid-level leaders and directors to strategically influencing senior-level executives (C-suite, department heads, administrators, clinical leads).
  • Uncover & Develop New Use Cases: Proactively identify and activate new use cases, locations, and stakeholders across various hospital departments, affiliated clinics, specialist services, and administrative functions (e.g., patient discharge, inter-facility transfers, staff travel, shuttle vouchers, prescription delivery).
  • Cross-Platform Growth: Leverage your "hunter" mindset to cross-sell and upsell a full suite of Uber products, including Uber for Business, Prescription Delivery, and various Uber Health NEMT products, ensuring multi-product adoption.
  • Navigate Complex Organizations: Strategically navigate decentralized decision-making processes, procurement cycles, and internal political landscapes within large hospital systems to drive consensus and secure enterprise-wide adoption.
  • Achieve & Exceed Targets: Be accountable for meeting and exceeding ambitious incremental gross booking targets and churn prevention goals.
  • Deliver Exceptional Value: Continuously monitor account health, identify potential challenges, and work cross-functionally with implementation, product, and support teams to ensure seamless service delivery and problem resolution.
  • Be a Thought Partner: Serve as a subject matter expert on Uber Health's capabilities and the evolving needs of hospital systems, contributing to our overall strategy in this critical segment.
