About the Role
Consumer Pricing and Incentive team shapes consumer demand for Uber's Delivery business including online food delivery and groceries. Our systems power several hundred millions consumers and millions of merchants globally and continues to grow at a rapid pace.
We are actively seeking individuals who excel in problem solving and critical thinking, and are technical thought leaders in designing highly scalable systems.

--- Basic Qualifications ----
- Bachelor's/Master's degree or other equivalent in related field with 10+ years of experience in software engineering experience
- Experience in programming language (e.g. C, C++, Java, Python, or Go)
- Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Experience with large scale distributed system
- Demonstrated examples of project leadership roles, delivering production-level features from inception, and promoting a high-quality culture amongst the team
- Demonstrated experience of the operational aspects of monitoring, alerting, and structuring code for production-level debugging
---- Preferred Qualifications ----
- Prior experience in the pricing domain
- Knowledge of machine learning and/or optimization
- A background in product experimentation including the statistical knowledge, mechanics of experimentation and analysis so that you are able to interpret, debug and challenge experimental results when necessary

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$257,000 per year - USD$285,500 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$257,000 per year - USD$285,500 per year.
For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$257,000 per year - USD$285,500 per year.
For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$257,000 per year - USD$285,500 per year.
