Sr Staff Program Manager Gen AI Solutioning
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Staff Program Manager, Tech to lead solutioning and execution for high-impact GenAI data labeling programs across multi-modal domains. This role is uniquely positioned at the intersection of technical delivery and customer discovery-partnering closely with Sales, Product, and ML Ops teams to co-design tailored data solutions for enterprise clients.
As the key solutioning lead, you'll support pre-sales conversations, conduct client-specific discovery, and translate customer GenAI requirements into scalable data labeling programs that meet performance, cost, and timeline targets. You'll bridge the gap between what models need and what clients can provide-ensuring every engagement is grounded in data quality, delivery feasibility, and ML alignment.
What the Candidate Will Do:
- Partner with Sales, Product Engineering, and Customer Success Pods to lead data-related discovery during pre-sales or early client engagements.
- Translate client GenAI goals into annotated data requirements, program scopes, and delivery roadmaps that balance quality, throughput, and budget.
- Serve as a customer-facing expert in data labeling workflows-explaining trade-offs between modalities, automation, QA, and model impact.
- Architect end-to-end labeling pipelines across modalities (text, image, video, speech, code), including pre-labeling, quality and end delivery
- Drive solution proposals and proof-of-concepts that align with GenAI use cases along with developing quality rubrics and identifying the rater skills for the annotation.
- Collaborate with product and engineering to adapt internal tooling to support diverse client requirements and multi-tenant use cases.
- Engage with ML and data teams to define gold sets, labeling ontologies, and model-in-the-loop feedback mechanisms.
- Manage program delivery for pilots from design through deployment-owning vendor coordination, stakeholder alignment, quality SLAs, and data audits.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- 9+ years of experience in program or solution management in AI/ML or enterprise data workflows
- Background in data labeling, annotation platforms, or data operations with demonstrated experience across modalities (text, image, video, speech, code)
- Proven project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting
- Experience in a customer-facing solution engineering or technical pre-sales role within GenAI / LLMOps
- Experience with process management and improvement methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to engage with Sales and enterprise clients in technical discovery, statement-of-work development, and solution prototyping
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Expertise in GenAI model life cycles (SFT, RLHF, evaluation), with ability to frame data value in terms of model performance and use-case success
- Hands-on experience with data labeling tools
- Deep understanding of quality frameworks, ability to evaluate final data set quality before delivery, and establish deep domain expertise
Familiarity with LLM-assisted labeling, active learning, or synthetic data pipelines - Knowledge of industry-specific constraints (e.g., healthcare documents, multilingual support, autonomous vehicle sensor data)
- Comfort presenting to executive stakeholders and distilling complex workflows into business-aligned narratives
Strong analytical skills with working knowledge of SQL, Python, or dashboarding tools to assess program health and delivery metrics
For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$212,000 per year - USD$235,500 per year.
