About the Role

Uber is reimagining the future of grocery and retail by building the world's most trusted and expansive marketplace for on-demand delivery of local commerce. As a member of the Global Merchant Operations team within Grocery & Retail (GR), you'll play a key role in delivering an outstanding experience for the merchants on our platform.

You'll support merchants as they grow their businesses with Uber, ensuring they deliver top-tier service to customers through a seamless and rewarding partnership.

In this role, you'll collaborate closely with local operations, commercial teams, and global leadership-as well as our product development teams. You'll lead high-impact projects aimed at making our platform even more valuable to merchants by improving Uber's processes, programs, and products.

What You'll Do

  • Champion the merchant experience: Drive initiatives that improve how merchants interact with our platform-ensuring our products and services are intuitive, impactful, and built with merchants in mind.
  • Analyze and uncover insights: Dive into data from multiple sources to surface trends, identify areas for improvement, and guide business decisions.
  • Shape strategy and communicate effectively: Turn insights into clear, actionable recommendations and share them with senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Lead impactful projects: Manage cross-functional projects focused on enhancing the merchant experience, from product improvements to operational initiatives.
  • Collaborate across teams: Partner with product, legal, operations, and commercial stakeholders to ensure alignment and drive meaningful outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships: Work closely with regional and global teams to stay connected to merchant needs and ensure a consistent, high-quality experience across markets.

Basic Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in strategy, operations, finance, consulting, or a related discipline
  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Experience managing and influencing a wide range of stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with an ability to tailor messaging to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL skills
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets and comfort with data analysis tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Master's or equivalent) in business, economics, engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in the grocery and/or retail industry
  • Previous collaboration with product and engineering teams
