About the Role

Uber Advertising's Strategic Insights team is seeking an analytical and strategic problem solver to drive the development and scalable rollout of consumer behavior insights and strategic frameworks for the sales organization. This role will focus on understanding platform, vertical, and brand-level dynamics, leveraging both first-party (1P) and third-party (3P) data.

You will partner closely with Sales, Strategy, Marketing, and Tech teams, not for individual campaign reporting or measurement, but to uncover actionable insights into consumer behavior on Uber Eats or Mobility (Uber Rides) surfaces. Your work will directly inform sales strategy, improve advertiser performance, and help us build scalable solutions for data delivery.

Project Leadership & Strategic Initiatives

  • Lead and manage the planning, execution, and rollout of core insights initiatives and strategic frameworks across platform, vertical, and brand levels
  • Oversee analytical deliverables, balancing immediate needs with long-term strategic objectives
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing skill development for junior analysts

Consumer Behavior Analysis & Scalable Insight Delivery

  • Deeply analyze first-party and third-party data to understand consumer behavior and market trends on our platform
  • Translate complex data into actionable, scalable insights and strategic recommendations for sales and client-facing teams
  • Validate and refine insights from analysts before sharing with stakeholders and clients
  • Collaborate hands-on with tech partners to design and build automated dashboards and tools that democratize and scale access to these insights
  • Build and host client-level presentations utilizing 1P and 3P analyses, focusing on strategic consumer understanding rather than individual campaign performance

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Present compelling insights directly to clients and internal stakeholders in a clear and persuasive manner
  • Foster strong relationships across Sales, Strategy, Marketing, and Tech to ensure insights are integrated into business planning and decision-making

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years' experience in Data Analytics, Consumer Insights, Strategic Consulting or Advertising
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex stakeholder relationships
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Sales experience, either as a sales person and/or working closely with sales as your stakeholder
  • Very comfortable challenging the status quo and asking the hard, uncomfortable questions from your stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Forward thinking, solutions oriented - able to see and solve the problem from a different perspective

For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$116,000 per year - USD$128,500 per year.

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$129,000 per year - USD$143,000 per year.
