About the Role

The Capital Projects Delivery Manager at Uber Places is responsible for ensuring consistent cost-effective project delivery across Uber's global portfolio. This role will report directly to the Head of Design, Construction and Project Management and will be accountable for all capital facilities projects in Uber's portfolio. This role will work closely with and depend on the dedicated and variable Project Manager staff at CBRE.

  • Coordinates internal resources and service providers to ensure flawless execution of projects.
  • The role is accountable for end to end planning and capital management
  • Accountable to ensure all functions remain on schedule, that issues get escalated and resolved, and that the programs are completed successfully.
  • Owns technology, reporting and dashboard results of all programs and projects.
  • Ensures project briefs are clear and complete for efficient and successful project execution
  • Accountable for multi-year, multi-phased initiatives.
  • Partners closely with Uber Sourcing on vendor selection, performance management, and pipeline strategy
  • Develop and present executive level presentations to senior leaders
  • Partners with Workplace Strategy to provide feedback on design standards based on lessons learned on each delivered project
  • Implements design standards globally and is responsible for approval of all project-related design reviews
  • Facilitates meetings with partners (F&B, AV/IT, DE&I etc.) and Workplace Strategy to ensure our standards are updated as theirs change

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional experience in program/project leadership
  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills demonstrating confidence in building and optimally maintaining positive relationships with clients (internal and external) and co-workers, a consistent track record of driving impact on cross-functional teams
  • Expert problem solver, having a constant drive to improve and troubleshoot
  • Sharp analytical and conceptual skills with the ability to communicate results both orally and written
  • Strong execution skills with the ability to convert strategies to actions into result
  • Highly organized with ability to manage time and competing priorities
  • High degree of independence, initiative, responsibility, and accountability
  • LEED Certified
  • Above 10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a large multinational corporation.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Prior experience in design standards, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Proficient in interpreting and utilizing complex financial and numerical data.

For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$149,000 per year - USD$165,000 per year.

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$165,000 per year - USD$183,000 per year.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$165,000 per year - USD$183,000 per year.

For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$149,000 per year - USD$165,000 per year.

For Washington, DC-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$165,000 per year - USD$183,000 per year.
