About the Role
As a Sr. Counsel, M&A, you will partner closely with Uber's Corporate Development team and other legal and non-legal cross-functional teams on domestic and cross-border M&A, joint ventures, investments and other strategic transactions from NDA through post-closing integration. This is a great opportunity to work on cutting edge issues in an exciting, fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do:
- Manage, structure and negotiate strategic transactions globally
- Collaborate and lead cross-functional teams with a diverse group of stakeholders
- Draft, review and negotiate agreements at all stages of the transaction lifecycle, including NDAs, term sheets, definitive acquisition and other transaction agreements
- Help develop and implement standardized processes and templates with an eye towards improving efficiency
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 8+ years of M&A and corporate legal experience at a premier law firm and/or in-house
- J.D. and license to practice law in at least one U.S. state
Preferred Qualifications:
- Team player with demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional groups on complex transactions
- Passion for the work and desire to make an impact
- Sound and practical business judgment
- Organized and efficient with conscientious attention to detail
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Strong academic credentials and law degree from a top law school
- Flexible and creative problem solving skills
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$243,000 per year - USD$270,000 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$243,000 per year - USD$270,000 per year.
