Senior Program Manager, Vendor Supplier Strategy

About the Role
As a Senior PgM on the Uber AI Solutions Enterprise Supply team, you will be crucial in shaping and implementing our supplier management strategy. Your primary goal will be to ensure our supplier partnerships consistently deliver exceptional value, quality, and performance while effectively mitigating risks. We are looking for a candidate who excels in negotiation, building strong relationships, and proactively solving problems. In this role, you will manage a diverse portfolio of key supplier, identify and drive performance improvements, and optimize costs across the entire enterprise.
What You'll Do
- Strategic Supplier Relationship Management: Define Supplier Strategy and develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key strategic vendors. Serve as the primary point of contact for supplier escalations and strategic discussions.
- Performance Management: Establish, monitor, and enforce supplier performance metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Conduct regular business reviews (QBRs) to assess performance, address issues, and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Contract Negotiation & Management: Lead the negotiation and renewal of complex contracts, statements of work (SOWs), and service level agreements (SLAs). Ensure all contracts are compliant with legal requirements and company policies, and that they are structured to deliver optimal value and mitigate risk.
- Cost Optimization & Value Creation: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and value-added initiatives with vendors. Analyze spend, market trends, and performance data to build business cases for strategic sourcing decisions
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and mitigate vendor-related risks, including financial, operational, security, and compliance risks. Develop and implement risk management plans and ensure supplier adherence to company security and data privacy standards
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal and external stakeholders across various teams to understand their needs, align on supplier strategy, and ensure seamless service delivery
- Governance & Process Improvement: Develop, refine, and implement supplier management policies, procedures, and best practices. Drive continuous improvement in the supplier lifecycle management process, from onboarding and integration to offboarding
- Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, emerging technologies, and new potential vendors to ensure the company maintains a competitive advantage

Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 7+ years of Supplier management, Strategic sourcing, Program Management and or within a related field
- Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience managing high-value, strategic vendor relationships in a complex corporate environment
- 7+ years of Supplier management, Strategic sourcing, Program Management and or within a related field
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Strong understanding of Labor Laws
- Experience dealing RFPs, contracts, working closely with vendors
- Experience with contract negotiations and compliance
- Proven track record of leading complex contract negotiations and achieving significant cost savings and performance improvements
- Strong understanding of contract law, financial analysis, and risk management principles
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities

For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$155,000 per year - USD$172,000 per year.
