Senior Product Manager - Work management

About the Role

As a Senior Product Manager on the Work Management team(Atlassian, ServiceNow and Asana) at Uber, you will be at the forefront of shaping the collaborative and productive ecosystem that powers our global operations. You will lead the entire Work Management App Portfolio of Uber from a Product standpoint, driving the strategy and execution for tools that are critical to thousands of employees. This role requires a visionary leader who can work with a broad set of cross-functional stakeholders, including Engineering, Design, Sourcing, and various business units, to build and optimize solutions that enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and drive efficiency across the company. You will own the roadmap, define the future, and ensure that our Work Management suite of products evolves to meet the future needs of Uber.

What the Candidate Will Do

  • Portfolio Leadership: Lead the entire Work Management App Portfolio of Uber from a Product standpoint. You will overview the entire portfolio and make sure every project that is run optimises for the future in terms of cost, technology, and user experience.
  • Strategy and Execution: Ability to work with stakeholders to drive strategies and execution of projects. You will create and drive OKRs for the entire Work Management portfolio during planning.
  • Stakeholder Management: Own communications across all stakeholders. Enable visibility of Projects across leadership, bubble up risks, and ensure alignment across teams.
  • Project Execution: Drive multiple big rock projects across the Work Management App Portfolio. You will be expected to unblock, prioritise, and execute projects and align with the timelines.
  • Innovation and Vision: Enable AI native solutions and strategies and drive the organisation towards a North Star vision. You will be responsible for driving both short-term and long-term solutions on the team.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to de-risk and drive projects with the right problem-solving skills, ensuring successful delivery and impact.
  • Commercial Management: Work with Sourcing, Businesses, etc., to enable Licensing contracts for Work Management products and third-party applications.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in Product Management, delivering successful and innovative products.
  • Technical Savviness: Can manifest in different ways: hands-on software engineering experience, or experience building complex software products side-by-side with engineers.
  • Attention to Detail: The ability to obsess over every single part of the user experience and product functionality.
  • Customer Obsession: The ability to take on complex product challenges and find elegant, simplifying solutions to avoid making them our users' problems.
  • Data-driven: You can find a way to get the data you need and whip it into an insightful story with no help. You know how to leverage this data to make decisions without getting stuck in analysis paralysis.
  • A "Driver" Mindset: You are biased toward action, a great collaborator, a master disambiguator/simplifier, and constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery.
  • Grittiness: You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and tackle something hands-on.
  • A High Bar Across the Board: From your own contributions to the people you work with, to the products you work on.

  • A never-ending desire to grow and learn.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge on Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence) is a plus.
  • Knowledge on ServiceNow products is a plus
  • Knowledge on Asana products is a plus.
  • Experience working on internal enterprise tools or platforms.
  • Proven track record of managing technical products and working with engineering teams.
  • Experience in negotiating with vendors and managing software licenses.
  • Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.
