Senior Operations & Strategy Manager

About the Role
Within the Marketplace Operations team, you will ensure our customers and partners have the best experience possible when using our platform. That means delivering on our promise to deliver any order on time, at any time. In this role, you will focus on projects that mitigate fraud and drive quality across our Delivery Marketplace. Your projects will directly improve our marketplace's reliability and timeliness, optimize our consumer promo and refund strategies, and even inform how we launch new delivery experiences in US&C.
What You'll Do
- Proactively scope and lead multiple projects to improve delivery reliability through platform quality and fraud management; take accountability for project outcomes, and stakeholder alignment, ensure delivery on project critical metrics, & communication with leadership
- Analyze sophisticated data, build models, and aggregate insights to drive key business decisions and policies
- Develop processes to mitigate fraud on the delivery marketplace and coordinate with Product teams to integrate deployments into our Tech
- Define critical metrics and develop dashboards to track business performance; report findings to senior leadership to define long-term strategy and decision-making
- Collaborate and work cross-functionally with other operations teams as well as Product, Data Science, Sales, Marketing, Finance, etc. to ensure insights inform broader critical initiatives
- Build a cohesive strategy for programs and solutions to build for our end-to-end ecosystem
Basic Qualifications
- 3 years of professional work experience in a related field (Risk or Safety management, data analytics, systems management, operations research, investment banking, technology, operations, strategy, or analytics)
- Experience writing code to organize data (SQL, Excel/Google Sheets, etc.) and developing decision-making systems (SQL, Python, R, etc.)
- Strong experience building and executing complex processes
Preferred Qualifications
- 4 years of professional work experience in a related field (Risk management, Safety management, data analytics, systems management, operations research, investment banking, technology, operations, strategy, or analytics)
- Experience deploying high-impact systems in a technology platform environment with a track record of building, maintaining, and diagnosing complex business processes
- Experience with quantitative data analysis to provide deep, measurable insights
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting data & insights to a sophisticated audience
- Strong collaboration and partner management skills - building deep, trust-based relationships with territory and cross-functional teams
- Strong business judgment and critical thinking skills, with the ability to use data to quickly develop strategies and make decisions
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
- Master's degree
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$129,000 per year - USD$143,000 per year.
