About the Role

Grocery and Retail is one of the fastest-growing categories at Uber Eats, helping consumers get everything from everyday essentials to specialty items delivered quickly and reliably. As a Senior Strategic Operations Manager on the Pricing & Business Intelligence team, you'll play a critical role in scaling and optimizing this business across the U.S. and Canada.

You'll work across several high-impact areas-shaping pricing strategy, uncovering performance and user insights, and helping grow surfaces like Add-Ons and Bundling that improve affordability and customer value. This is a highly cross-functional role, well-suited for someone who enjoys solving ambiguous problems, working with data, and collaborating closely with teams across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Ops, and Finance.

What You Will do

  • Leverage Data to Guide Strategy: Analyze user behavior, pricing dynamics, and growth trends to shape our growth strategy.
  • Lead High-Impact Initiatives: Tackle complex problems across pricing, user engagement, and growth. Bring structure to ambiguity and lead projects from strategy to execution.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with Product, Data Science, Finance, and Ops to align on priorities, design experiments, and execute strategic initiatives.
  • Build Tools for Impact: Develop dashboards, reporting, and strategic narratives that enable teams to act quickly and confidently.
  • Deliver Meaningful, Measurable Impact: Focus on work that improves the user experience, boosts engagement, and supports long-term growth.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional experience in operations, strategy, analytics, product, consulting, or a related field
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Data Science, or a related quantitative field
  • Proficiency in SQL and strong skills in Excel/Google Sheets

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to use data to inform strategy, identify trends, and optimize performance-including user-level analysis and segmentation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analyses into clear, actionable insights
  • Proven ability to work across teams and align stakeholders around shared goals
  • Background in pricing strategy, user segmentation, or growth analytics within tech, e-commerce, or marketplace environments
  • Experience informing or supporting A/B tests or marketplace experiments
  • Strong critical thinking skills and comfort navigating ambiguity with a structured, analytical approach
  • Familiarity with Python, R, or business intelligence tools such as Looker or Tableau
  • Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, or budgeting, and the ability to connect financial outcomes to business strategy

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$129,000 per year - USD$143,000 per year.
